Today we held our Bedtime Stories day. The hall was transformed into a cosy, twinkly night time area. . We had snuggly tents with stars and moonbeams!
Pupils came to school dressed in their pyjamas and brought a book to talk about in class and to share with a younger pupil in the Bedtime story space.
We have celebrated a love for reading and
READING FOR PLEASURE. We need children who love
books and reading, who are excited to choose a book, to
listen to it being read, or to read it to themselves. A
bedtime story is the perfect anchor for this, no matter the
age of the child or stage of development. In this way,
being read TO, is MORE important than learning to
read!!
Friday 10th January is our Bedtime Stories day!
Please can your child come to school dressed in their Pjs and bring their favourite book with them. Please see poster for more information
